It was in July 2020 that CEVA Logistics launched an “all-in-one” digital platform, myCEVA, which it said provides customers with more control over the booking process. The online tool also gives customers instant quotes and enables them to track shipments in real time. It said the rollout of myCEVA this summer means the portal will become available for importers and exporters in the UK, as well as Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam. Mathieu Friedberg, CEO at CEVA Logistics, says, “At CEVA Logistics, we have identified digitalization as a cornerstone of our strategic turnaround and transformation plan.”
At its core, CEVA Logistics provides and operates transportation and supply-chain solutions for large or medium size national and multinational companies. The company offers a broad range of services in both Contract Logistics and Freight Management thanks to 78,000 employees, operating over 1,000 facilities in more than 160 countries. CEVA Logistics’ experienced specialists focus on seamlessly designing end-to-end customized solutions to meet the complex and rapidly evolving supply chain needs whatever the business sector.
CEVA offers distinct logistics added-value. Its in-house team of business process excellence (BPE) consultants studies past customer experiences to develop standardised solutions that can be applied to multiple sectors. Integrated and best-in-class services support the needs of clients from the automotive, consumer and retail, e-commerce, energy, health care, aerospace and technology sectors. With the goal of creating a workforce of problem solvers, CEVA instituted the BPE programme to ensure a common approach across its sites globally while retaining the flexibility to adapt to local markets and opportunities. Comprised of four key components, BPE employs principles of quality assurance, continuous improvement through the LEAN programme for waste elimination, efficient project implementation that avoids duplication and reduces expenses, and regular site classification assessment.

To strengthen its foothold, CEVA nurtures strategic partnerships with leading industry players. Its strategic partnership with French container transportation and shipping company CMA CGM, for instance, seeks to generate new commercial opportunities in the short and long term. Projects in the pipeline include improved e-freight services, a new data analytics department and an end-to-end supply chain management development. The partnership was further broadened last year when CEVA started to look for the acquisition of CMA CGM’s freight management business. This is due to be completed in spring this year.
CEVA is reinforcing its position by continually investing globally such as in China and the rest of Asia as it taps markets in Myanmar, Cambodia and Bangladesh. Recently, the company has developed CEVA FORPATIENTS, which offers end-to-end logistics solutions for healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, placing patients at the center of the supply chain. “Our customers supply the vaccines, medical devices, medication and other support products on which patients around the world depend. For example, diabetic patients should not have to worry about supply chain reliability for their insulin. At CEVA, we’re expanding our temperature-sensitive solutions to ensure that, no matter the logistics challenges faced, patients’ needs are met. Behind every shipment, we see a patient,” says Niels Van Namen, EVP of CEVA’s Global Healthcare Sector.
“The global healthcare market has seen enormous change over the last year as a result of the pandemic that continues to affect daily life. The pandemic is also combining with the advance of technology and at-home treatment to usher in a new era of healthcare. As an agile logistics provider, CEVA will continue to offer new healthcare logistics solutions for our customers, and ultimately their patients. Today’s new FORPATIENTS sub-brand confirms our commitment as a responsive and reliable supply chain for better patient outcomes,” informs Friedberg.
